Charli Cohen 2016 at London Fashion Week

Not all London Fashion Week shows kick off with a model back flipping her way down the runway, and that's why Charli Cohen's show stands out. Instead of jumping on any active style bandwagon, Charli Cohen is true performance activewear with solid fashion and style credentials. The only activewear brand to show at London Fashion Week, Charli's second-ever London Fashion Week show brought her vision of fierce fitness to life.

the hero academy

To cast The Hero Academy's runway of heroines, Charli had turned to her Instagram followers and asked if they were ready for a new challenge: to model in her runway show, with a signature CC twist: the runway was centre stage of Six3Nine - the heroine's personal training academy of choice, located in Covent Garden.

Top Looks from Charli Cohen 2016

FITNESS NINJA

The 'Fitness Ninja' look grows on the success of her debut show in February, the collection features her signature dynamic spliced and colour-blocked looks with technical attributes: bonded seams, built in bras, breathable & moisture wicking fabrics, and added muscle control.

GYM TO SWIM

'Gym To Swim' utilised fabrications that offered UV protection, quick drying properties and were also chlorine and sunscreen resistant.

STREET ATHLETE

The 'Street Athlete' range had a nod to social media's obsession with street style - logo-ed waistbands, slogan tees ('Dressed to Kale' is the new 'Heroine Chic'), and biker details - but importantly, all still made in fabrics with breathable, moisture managing and muscle controlling properties.

fashion meeting function

Charli graduated with a Fashion degree from Kingston University (good choice!) and is also a fully qualified personal trainer, so it's no surprise that this collection once again showed that she can draw from her two areas of expertise to create ergonomic, high performance, fashion-led activewear.

You'll need to wait until Spring 2016 to get your hands on the pieces shown here. But, the Charli Cohen 'Fight Club' range, shown at her LFW debut earlier this year, is available at The Sports Edit now!
