Back in 2017, CEO and co-founder Marta Llaquet asked Elizabeth Sabin and Damian Augustyniak to join Wado. The idea was simple; to create an online sneaker brand that planted trees for every sale. The following year, they launched on Kickstarter, and produced 7,000 pairs of trainers.

Since, they’ve refined their trainer styles, expanded the trainer catalogue with more vegan styles, have planted over 150,000 trees and are now available in stores across the UK, USA, South Korea, Sweden and many more countries.

Putting a twist on the classic Modelo ‘89, this high-top version is made from a blend of corn, organic cotton, natural rubber and bamboo. Engineered with a grippy synthetic rubber outsole, vegan and bio-based outer, this style is comfortable, stylish and planet-friendly.
