CARBON NEUTRAL SHIPPING

We are committed to neutralising shipping
emissions that contribute to climate change. Since early 2021 we have started neutralising 100% of the climate impact of shipping orders to customers, up from offsetting 62% of the impact in 2020. This is done through the Shopify Sustainability Fund, which uses nature-based carbon removal solutions, such as reforestation and soil carbon sequestration. This funds companies such as Pachama, DroneSeed and Grassroots Carbon.

PACKAGING

In April 2020, we launched paper outer packaging. Responsibly sourced and made from FSC certified paper, our bags are 100% recyclable, so you can recycle them easily at home.

PLAN A WITH M&S

The Sports Edit is part of the Marks and Spencer Group (M&S). M&S reset is 'Plan A' goals with a singular focus on becoming a net zero business across all its operations and
its entire value chain by 2040 – ten years earlier than the Government’s UK-wide strategy. It set a clear roadmap to move towards delivering these goals. The targets align with the aim of the Paris Climate Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C and M&S has joined the UN’s Race to Zero campaign.

How we evaluate brands

To help you make more informed decisions about your purchases, we have introduced a clear rating system for brands and products on sustainability and ethical metrics. We carefully evaluate each brand, taking into consideration their performance in three main areas: 1) Sustainable Materials, 2) Labour Welfare, and 3) Manufacturing. We believe transparency is important, so each brand must also ensure sustainability information is publicly available.
